I started my journey as a professional dog trainer in 2019, when I joined the training department of a large dog boarding kennel as a Junior Trainer - a “Trainer in Training."

Although I had already been working with dogs for several years, stepping into the world of dog training felt like flinging open a door to a new world. I soon learned that training was not simply about getting dogs to do what humans tell them to, but about communicating with them in a way they can understand. I had adored and gravitated towards dogs for my whole life, and now I could “speak” to them! I knew within a month of stepping into my new role as a Junior Trainer that I had found not just a new career, but a mission in life: use this powerful new tool for communication to help humans and dogs have betters lives together.

When I started Kindred Canine Training in 2023, my dream was to build a dog-first training business that could flex with the unique needs of my clients and their dogs. I would treat each student as an individual and provide a tailored touch to each case. My respect for each dog and for the unique qualities and needs they bring to training is something that I have kept at the forefront of my mind while building this business, and I look forward to serving the dogs of Douglas County and their owners for years to come.

My training journey has allowed me the joy of sharing my passion for dogs, and my knack for demystifying their complex inner worlds, with dog owners of all ages and experience levels.
